Air fryer Chicken Recipe

#cooking#irl#recipeRecipe

I started cooking recently, as well as doing some major life changes.

The best recipe for chicken I found was originally from FlexibleDietingLifestyle on youtube, but I have since modified it.

First, the seasonings.

I tend to make it in bulk, and season the chicken to taste.

  • 2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 tsp Paprika (not smoked not sweet)
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Chili powder (dark or regular)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Finely ground pepper

You can sub in tablespoons instead, if you wanna make it in bulk.

You can use chicken breasts or tenders, just make sure they arent huge. I tend to use small chicken breasts I get locally.

I have 3 stations. Dry, Egg white, Panko

Flour+cornstarch mix, mostly flour, and seasoning. Coat the chicken well.

After you have coated the tenders, they go into egg whites mixed with Frank's Buffalo sauce. I probably do 40% franks, 60% egg whites.

Once they have been soaked, they can go into a few things.

  • Bread crumb only: Ends up being a crust, not super crunchy though
  • Panko: super crunchy but not super even
  • Breadcrumb+panko mix: perfect combo (For this I do 60% panko, the rest is regular breadcrumb.

Add seasoning into the breadcrumbs, enough to slightly change the color of them.

Press the chicken into the crumb mix hard. It makes it stick better.

Spray small amount of oil into the air fryer, lay the chicken in it, then spray just a bit more oil on top. It helps them fry up well. Add extra seasoning on top. No need to flip halfway through cooking, just shake.

They turn out so well every stinking time.
