My plan for the Aeternum is kindof up in the air at the moment. I dont desire to be the best, or even a money making author. I want to flesh out my universe.
It is my belief that every idea that goes unwritten dies, never to be brought back. This is why I started writing. I wanted to get my stories and such on paper, preserved and also worked out and fleshed out.
I wrote a ton of stories before I wrote Before We Rot. That one ended up staying with me through several long breaks of writing, unlike any before it. It is the first story I ever finished.
After BWR, I'm writing Godmaker's Bastard as my next full story. i thought about writing it as a novella, but that just wont do with all the events within the story. I dont want a story written that requires context from several prequels written after.
I have material for Splinters I wrote a couple years ago, 3 separate stories about the Splinter war, that took place maybe 45 years before BWR. That story will be made lf those 3 storyline, all in one book.
Dead man's journal might not get off the ground at all. The idea was to write a journal version of my wiki, like the Ars Arcanum from Sanderson's writings.
After those stories? No idea. There are lots of conflicts on Terradine I could write about, maybe 5 planets still lacking a story. I could write a novella about the Martyr of Südland, before Godmaker's Bastard.
I Don't plan for the Aeternum to have this huge long series within it, it is more of a net that encompasses my planets and their stories.
Perhaps I could write a far distant future story with a new magic system and a human race invading the current planets with unknown magic.
This is why I am a discovery writer at heart. Half the fun is learning the story as I go.
